I lost power lastnight and because of power lost my router got reset. The IP address for linux.serve got changed. I changed the hosts file with new ip address and now Oracle apps is working from my window IE. I can login now fine. Sorry about above question; I should have the check the IP address!!!

Good to know that your problem is fixed.
It is best to make your IP static as oppose to dynamic.
su root
<password>
/usr/sbin/system-config-network
Lets say if your router is located at 192.168.1.1 then you enter this setting:
IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.xx (Replace xx with the same number that exists at the time of installation).
MASK: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.1.1
Restart your Linux.
