You do not need to perform this step if you are attaching one operating unit to a responsibility. You simply create a operating unit using Accounting Setups screen of GL (could also be done in HR using Organizations screen). Then you attach that operating unit using MO: Operating Unit profile option to a responsibility. Then you are all set. All this is covered in Payables videos. We have started with creating business group, then operating unit and then attached it to a responsibility.
You create security profile if you wish to access more than one operating unit using a single responsibility. You create a security profile and attach it to your responsibility using the profile option MO: Security Profile.

Hi Hasan,
Could you please add one video on this profile also. This will add clear vision of new Feature in R12 which might be required this on High level positions in company to monitor both operating units.
Does my request makes sense?
Thanks,
Srinivas

Srinivas, Sorry I dont recommond learners of EBS to use Vision. This will create tons of problems going forward as it comes with some pre-configured settings. In order to learn the implementation of Oracle Financials you need the PROD install. This is the same installation that you will be using on real projects. That way you will be able to do the configuration from scratch.

Hi Hasan,
I completely agree with you to use PROD for learning. But I did not understand, how this MO:Security Profile and HR:Security Profile belongs to ONLY vision. We should implement this even in PROD also. right?
I have another question for PROD implementation.
I was trying to create Business Group through HR organisation and it did not allowed. I am able to proceed after setting HR: User Type in profile and could proceed. When I try to check same in Vision DB, I don't see this value set for anyone. Could you please let me know, how Vision configured to work for any user (after creating new user) to proceed with creation of Business Unit?
Thanks,
Srinivas

Sorry, I misunderstood your statement totally: "This will add clear vision of new Feature in R12". I thought you were talking about Vision DB for some reason. Therefore my reply was totally out of context.
I have not create a video explicitly to discuss R12 new features. In this program I have taken a step by step training approach. The deltas are discussed by the topics.
