Video related to MRC in 11i 13 Years, 12 Months ago
Hi Mir,

I was going through the videos for foreign currency and i found you have not mentioned any step related MRC for 11i. You have covered Journal level, Balancing & Sub Ledger level reporting currencies(R12).

Can you please pass on any video or doc related to MRC specific to 11i.

Regards,
Praveen Nagaraj

In R12 the MRC concept is covered under the broader umbrella of reporting currencies. I have explained this in detail in my videos. This training is specifically for R12. I have mentioned differences between 11i and R12 where applicable however the demonstration videos are based on R12. Reporting currency concept is covered in my videos.

We are trying to create the ledger so that we can use it for 2012 year end reporting. We have a new legal entity in Luxembourg and we have been maintaining records off line and would like to convert them into Oracle.

We were actually hoping to be able to run through a mock Reporting Currency upgrade over this weekend in a Test instance for purposes of getting production up and running at some point next week. I've done lots of reading about the upgrade process as it was in release 11 and would assume much of the process and concepts are the same. I can't find anything regarding the programs that should be run in R12 for Payables, Receivables. I found information for General Ledger and Assets only.

Per your video tutorial I did journal and SLA for Payables and receivables Transaction. When I try to covert historical data in the reporting currency books. I'm getting error message on all open transaction that was created before the new reporting currency. Please i need steps how to change the historical data to the new reporting ledger.

In your first post you did not post any question as such. On a side note an upgrade process in general is more than running few programs from front end. Patches are applied at the back end by technical team. Functional team performs necessary front end tasks.

Sorry I have not covered conversion of historical data in my videos yet. If future please always post the exact error message so that I could provide a more specific and relevant response. Also please create new a post for a fresh problem.
