Receiving Transaction Manager - TIMEOUT 13 Years, 2 Months ago  
Hello Hasan,

I am kind of stuck on trying to enter a Receipt in Purchasing module.
.
I keep getting an error from the Receiving Transaction Manager.
.
Basically its a TimeOut error.
.
I've enclosed a screen shot of the error encountered.
.
I'm running R12.1.1
.
Please help. I can't continue at this time regarding Entering Receipts.

You have a deadlock on mtl_supply tables. This occurs when multiple processes tries to update this table. This is a bug 917504 which activates on certain conditions as explained above. There is a patch 9175094 available. However if you reboot your system (including database) the deadlocks should get releases. Try that.

Yes this worked.
It's a workaround which is fine for my learning session.
.
Strange that it happens once in a while...
One day it timesout and another day is doesn't timeout.
.
I can't be bothered witht he patch for now... I can work around it, as you said.
