Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.2.18 crashes on Windows 8 12 Years ago  
Hi,

I'm on installation step : Configuring Oracle Linux. My laptop has Windows 8 installed. After I click finish the Oracle Virtual box crashes. The version I had downloaded form VirtualBox.org is 4.2.18. It says " Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager has stopped working" and that Windows will notify me if a solution is available. Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Also, I have tried running the windows updates to see if it will fix this issue. It didn't help. Please advice. Thanks

I have tried uninstalling VirtualBox 4.2.18 and installing 4.2.12 as specified in your tutorial and then did the configuration of Oracle Linux all over again. It still gives me the same error. I'd highly appreciate your input. Thanks.

Remove the installation of your Virtual Box and downgraded to 4.1.22.
This version works fine with Windows 8.
