Consolidated reports on two seperate BSVs 11 Years, 9 Months ago
Hi Hasan,

Your consolidated reports on two seperate BSVs within the same ledger worked, as the two BSVs (company 01 and company 02) were visible for selection when needed in the BSV ranges.

I am unable to implement the same report with individual and a consolidated balance sheet, as my two BSVs reside in seperate ledgers on the same installation, as per your tutorial (201 Consolidation Reporting Using FSG) and (202 Creating FSG Reports for Multiple Companies).
In this scenario, how could I make visible the two BSVs whili defining the columns set to be used in the individual and consolidated reports.
Do I have to put the two ledgers in a Ledger Set in order to make both visible at the same time?
Thanks and regards in advance.

If you are creating FSG across ledgers, they must have the same COA otherwise you will not be able to place them in a ledger set. Yes please put the ledgers in a ledger set and then create the FSG against the ledger set.

Hi Admin,

I have created a COA_1 structure with Value Set on which I have enforced a Format Type "Uppercase = YES".

The COA_2 structure with Value Set on which I have enforced a Format Type "Uppercase = NO".

Every other properties or setting are the same for both COAs.

Is the above mentioned difference enough to make the two COAs different structures, thereby, not qualified to be put in the same Ledger Set?
This is the problem I am having and I need this clarification.

Thank you.

Please, also could you tell me whether the corresponding Value Set values should be the same, for example, should I have 10 values for Cost_Centre Value Set of COA_1 and the same 10 values for the Cost_Centre V\alue Set of COA_2, in order to be able to put the two ledgers in the same Ledger Set?

Thank you.

The ledgers should have the same (not similar) chart of account structures to placed in one ledger set. A COA could be shared among ledgers.

Thank you very much.
I have successfully used both FSG (where COA structures across ledgers on the same instance are the same)and GCS tools (for situation where COA structures across ledgers on the same instance are different).
