Unable to access the guest computer through the ho 11 Years, 8 Months ago  
The Oracle Installation was successful. I can access the application using http://linux.server:8000 on the guest or the virtual box. However I cannot access the application through the host computer.

I am using the bridge adapter configured with a static ip address. I also updated the hosts file with this ip address pointing to linux.server. Yet I still get the message "The connection has timed out" in firefox and "The server is busy" in IE.

Can someone help me identify what the issue is.

If you are not using the router, then you may have to change the network adapter type.
