Summary Accounts 15 Years, 9 Months ago
Hello,

I have defined a rollup group after I defined the parent
group in the department segment. Then I wanted to
define the summary group but I do not have the
rollup group as one of the option in the template
department segment. I have attached all the screenshots.
I do not understand where I am going wrong.
Please let me know.

Hi Arun,

The COAs differ. In the first screenshot , it is XX_Accoutning Flexfield where as the COA attached to your ledger AS_PrimaryLedger1 has a different COA "XX_SSC_WORLD".

Hey,

That is a good catch. That is where the problem is. It is messy doing setups in a Vision Instance. That is the reason why Hasan keeps on asking to do the practice on a non Vision instance.

Anyway, what is the easiest way to find out your COA attached to your ledger?

Thanks,

Arun

Hi Arun,

The easiest way to find a COA with your ledger is to navigate to the Accounting Setup page and then check for your ledger.

Thanks,
Abhigyan

Hi Arun,
You go to any General Ledger Super User responsibility..then navigate to
Setup -> Financials -> Accounting Setup Manager
Click on the Accounting Setup.
In the Accounting Setup page , let the first field be Ledger and in the text field give your Primary ledger name.

From the search results, look for your Primary Ledger. In that click the update button. This opens one more page.
In this page, lokk for the section : Primary Ledger. There you can see you r Primary Ledger with a hyperlink. Click on the link which eventually opens a new page.
In this page, you can check for your COA, that is attahced to Primary Ledger.

Regards,
Abhigyan
