Unable to insert/create new account combination 15 Years, 8 Months ago  
Unable to insert/create new account combination eventhough Dynamic Insert is selected, and cross validation rules are in place but would not allow me to create journal entry for 01.5200.00 account. Please help. Thanks. Screen shots are attached.

Hi Ravi,

You should unfreeze your flexfield definition, uncheck allow dynamic insert and recompile.
Then freeze the flexfield definition. This should make it work.

Hi Arun, Compile option is not available if I unfreeze flexfield definition, and uncheck allow dynamic insert. I had to freeze flexfield in order to compile. It did not work. I went ahead checked dyanmic inserts and recompiled but no avail. any other idea? Thanks.

To Compile means to Save (Oracle would do some validation and then
save your work).

Security Rules, Cross Validation Rules, and Data Access Set settings
could also prevent you from using a combination (if dynamic insertion
is enabled)
If you are still facing the problem then paste the image
of actual error message.
