I have created LE as per the videos from ASM screen, however when i go to HR screen--> Workstaructures/organization
and i try to find this LE. i don't find there. I know we can create LE,OU from the HR screen as well.so what's the difference
is it a bug .. because i am using Assets, purchasing, Inventory as well

Sorry for late reply. See if your ASM responsibility is attached to a different business group. If HR:Cross Business Group profile option is set to No then you can only view organizations belonging to you business group. While setting up financial application you should use HR or GL (Accounting Setup) screens to create organizations.

I am using default business group that is created by Oracle. so there is no point in checking the cross business group profile option.


Just an FYI.. i wanted to share

In release 12, the legal entity defined in ASM is not available as an organization in the HR organization form.

A LE cannot be associated to an HR Organization. Both are separate entities
in R12.

In R12, it was a conscious decision to separate the legal entity from the GRE
which is a HR organization. We did not link the 2 entities together as they
serve 2 different purposes.

The HR model does not look at the new Legal Entity model. It continues to
use the GRE/LE as a legal entity. So the HR requirement can be achieved using
the HR organization of type GRE/LE.

General Ledger views each as separate entities. The HR model does not use this model. To
satisfy the HR requirement you can select GRE/LE as the HR organization type.
