Install file downloads 15 Years, 7 Months ago
Please help I have now tried for over 2 weeks to resolve but no joy. In the downloads deom edelivery I keep getting corrupt files. Is there a way I can tell which files are corupt without going through each one manually and which are essential files, I have a lot of crc errors on pdf etc,, not sure if this is essential. I am only trying to install the core product not advanced stuff

Once the files are downloaded verify their size with that published on Oracle's website. The size should match. More importantly all files should be consistent. If you download one file now and the second file a week later, Oracle might update their software on the website in the mean while and then your downloaded files will not be consistent.

I did check the sizes and downloded files at the same time. The files downloaded onl reveal crc errors at staging process. Hence my question is if I want the core end without vision which files do I need, the reason is if the corrupt file is not core it does not matter. Also is there a way in Linux for the unzipped summary of errors to be output to a text file so I can identify all errors. At the moment the terminal screen does not list the full extract as it seems to be too big and the start of the extract is not listed

* You need same set of files for both Vision and Fresh install. You choose your preference "Vision vs Fresh" while running the install wizard.
* You can add " > filename.txt" in front of a command in Unix to redirect the output to a file.
* Try downloading files directly into Linux as oppose to downloading them on Windows then zipping and transporting them over to Linux. I dont know here your error is, perhaps this step would fix your problem.
